Happy new year to all writers and readers concerned with the environment and ecological crisis. What more can we do in the coming year to protect the natural world and to change the way we look at the environment, but especially how we value it?
To get us thinking, we are sharing here a new poem by Robert Minhinnick, a writer who has devoted much of his career to thinking about the environment and who – with his wife Margaret Minhinnick – was founder of the important charity Sustainable Wales. Essential reading of Robert’s includes his collection The Diary of the Last Man as well as the anthology Gorwelion: Shared Horizons, and his many books of excellent prose.
The poem is called ‘The Barns of Tonysguboriau’ and you can read it here.
